This has a hardness of 57-58 HRC, which means it is sharp, long-lasting, and resistant to wear.
It is widely used as cutting steel and can be said to be readily available and reasonably priced.

The metal cap will prevent water from entering the handle.
This makes it more hygienic to use and the handle last longer.
